Brian Leiferman
Executive Vice President - Private Banking

Born in Mankato, Minn., I started in banking thirty years ago as a credit analyst business banker, before dedicating my career to private banking in 1996, the year I moved to Omaha. I joined Frontier Private Bank in 2017.

I chose this career because it isn’t all about money; it’s about people. I have always enjoyed meeting people, listening to their stories and cultivating a relationship through a deeper understanding of my clients’ unique needs. That’s what I love about private banking. I become part of a team that finds creative solutions for our clients by establishing trust and providing reliable and responsive service. When my clients succeed, I succeed.

When I am not at work, my wife Carla and I spend our time outdoors, traveling and supporting our family in their activities. I am also an active member in the community and volunteer with a variety of charitable organizations including JDRF, Completely KIDS and Kick’s for a Cure, which benefits cancer research.

Cole Groteluschen
Senior Vice President - Private Banking

I was born into a third generation Nebraska farm family, north of Columbus. Ironically, my grandmother and mother both took positions in finance after raising their children. I spent many afternoons in my grandmother’s office, and I remember a humble phrase she taught me – that her success was driven by the ability to explain things to her clients in terms they would understand.

I moved to Omaha to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha, eventually earning a master’s degree in leadership from Bellevue University. I took a job with a national bank and learned banking from the ground up. I believe that in banking, lasting relationships are forged by listening to your clients and delivering services that are the right fit with the most competitive offer.

My wife, Christina, owns and operates a sugar cookie business. We have a daughter, Vivian and son Henry. They keep us entertained and busy!

Charlie Vaughan
Vice President – Residential Lending

I was born and raised in the area of Omaha, and I have mortgage lending in my blood! My mother is a local mortgage banker. She taught me that you need a strong work ethic, a deep commitment to sound principles, and to always put your clients first.

I have more than 30 years’ experience in the banking industry, beginning in 1987 as a bank teller. I draw on that knowledge as I craft unique mortgage solutions. My experience enables me to guide clients toward the mortgage loan that fits their life and needs.

My wife, Penny, and I have been married more than 25 years. She is an accountant with the Omaha office of a national financial and human resources consulting company. We have three children: Nate, Brennan and Baily. We love spending summers at the lake, and escaping to the beach during the winter.

Liz Souba
Assisstant Vice President - Private Banking

Originally from Ohio, I moved to Omaha when my father was offered a position with Richman Gordman in the 1980s. I have two younger sisters. I started in banking as a teller in 2008 and earned several promotions, rising to assistant community bank manager, where I oversaw the operations of a large branch. In 2014, I moved into private banking, where I enjoy working closely with clients and having a positive impact on their lives.

My husband, Brandon, and I met when we were in seventh grade, and were married in 2010. We have two daughters: Isabel and Charlotte. Fridays are Family Game Nights in the Souba household. We have been keeping score for the same Backgammon game since our honeymoon nine years ago! I also enjoy a good book, playing piano and volunteering at my church.
